10 aesthetically pleasing and creative ways to display your family photos
If you’re familiar with me, you know I’m a big proponent of getting your photos printed. I love gallery walls and it’s about time I create a new photography display in my home. I’ve been looking for inspiration for a while and I’m happy to share my favourite finds with you. Here are 10 aesthetically pleasing and creative ways to display your family photos and your art to transform and personalize any room in your home.
Gallery walls
1. Elegant gallery walls
I love the timeless and classic feel of matted and framed black and white images. Create a sophisticated and elegant look with large custom mats and thin frames arranged in a grid.
2. Eclectic and dynamic gallery walls
For a more eclectic and dynamic look, use various frame types, colours and sizes. Mix matted and unmatted colour and black and white images with typography, abstract art, illustrations, paintings, 3D objects, masks or plants.
3. Shelf displays
If you have books and home decor objects to display along with your family photos, wall shelves are a great alternative to hanging frames on a wall.
Unframed wall displays
When you’re on a small budget or feel like changing your photos on a regular basis, you can skip the frames and opt for one of these creative ways to display your family photos.
4. Mounted prints
5. Wood slices or branch with rope
6. Wire, rope or fishing line, clothes pins or binder clips
7. Clothes hangers
8. Curtain rod or curtain wire with hooks
9. Wall collage with tape
If you don’t want to make holes in your walls, gentle tape can be your best friend.
10. Glass jars, vases or bottles
Unconventional find: place your family photos in glass jars, vases or bottles for a surprising effect.
