Family
2022 year in review
2022 was an incredible year of growth, recognition and inspiration for me as a photographer. I’m so grateful for all the people who’ve encouraged and supported me since the beginning, inspire me, push me out of my comfort zone, recognize the value of documentary family photography, participate in my projects and hire me to document their family life and events. Without you, I wouldn’t be where I am today!
Highlights of the year 2022
In 2022, I was interviewed and featured 11 times in the local media (radio, web, television and newspaper).
I worked on a photography workshop produced by Radio-Canada for L’atelier culturel.
One of my photos, Morning meeting, was selected to be a part of two international online group exhibitions organized by Documentary Family Photographers Worldwide (DFP).
My Morning Meeting photograph won the People’s Choice Award during DFP’s Community exhibition.
This photo won a Reportage Family Award in Collection 12 of This is Reportage: Family.
I was honored to find out that my Life in a Morning personal photography project was selected to be exhibited at the Centre d’arts visuels de l’Alberta in April 2023. This will be my first solo exhibition!
The Morning Meeting photo travelled to the Off Arles Festival in France as part of the DFP group exhibition Family: (un)expected.
I offered two online photography workshops to grade 5-6 and 7-12 students of various Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord schools as part of the Plumes jeunesse competition organized by Le Franco. I was also a judge in the competition.
I made it on This is Reportage:Family’s list of Top 10 photographers in Canada.
Cheers to 2023!
I don’t know what 2023 has in store for me, but I’m ready to jump in with a mind full of ideas and the drive to make more dreams come true. Cheers to many new collaborations and projects in 2023, and happy new year to you all!
